Sumanth Gopinath is the founder/bandleader of and primary songwriter for The Gated Community. 

The Gated Community is a Minnesota-based Americana band. Formed in 2006 in Minneapolis's storied West Bank neighborhood by South Asian American singer-songwriter Sumanth Gopinath, the band is known for its gripping original songs, beautiful vocal harmonies, and multiple lead singers. Encompassing country, folk, bluegrass, and rock influences, TGC's genre-bending style draws comparisons to Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Gillian Welch, and the Band, among others.
